Fabric Development

Collaborate with our skilled team to develop unique fabrics that meet your performance, aesthetic, and sustainability requirements.

Fabric development is a crucial part when it comes to clothing with USP. For a decade we are developing fabrics for functionality finishes. A case study on this would be our sweat wicking performance fabrics with permanent sweat wicking properties.

High-performance moisture-wicking fabrics have been developed to enhance athletic performance in fitness workouts and extreme sports activities by regulating core temperature. Athletes have found that maintaining dryness and coolness in hot conditions and warmth and insulation in cold conditions can significantly improve their performance.

Benefits of Superior Moisture Wicking Garments

A superior moisture-wicking garment will:

  • Absorb moisture and sweat with hydrophilic fibers

  • Push moisture and sweat away from the body with hydrophobic fibers

  • Pull moisture and sweat through the garment to the outside

  • Quickly spread moisture on the outside of the garment for fast evaporation and drying

AEM Textile engineers superior moisture-wicking fabrics by combining hydrophobic (water-repelling) and hydrophilic (water-attracting) fibers. To achieve optimal results, we work with natural and synthetic fiber varieties based on their strengths aligned with performance requirements. The combination of these fibers using golden ratio formulas, whether spun, injected, or specially knitted together with precision, results in a garment with permanent moisture-wicking properties. Unlike fabrics finished with chemical treatments that eventually wash away, our engineered fabrics retain their moisture-wicking capabilities permanently. This allows athletes to focus on their sport without the distraction of moisture-soaked, uncomfortable clothing, reducing stress and enhancing overall thermo-physiological comfort.

Testing Our Engineered Fabrics

At AEM Textile, we subject our engineered fabrics to testing by reputable laboratories using The MMT (moisture management tester), the only instrument on the market that can precisely measure the liquid management properties of performance and technical fabrics, ensuring the comfort and protection that consumers demand. Our tests include:

  • Overall Moisture Management Capability

  • Accumulative One-Way Transport Capability

  • Wetting Time for top and bottom surfaces

  • Absorption Rate for top and bottom surfaces

  • Max Wetted Radius for top and bottom surfaces

  • Spreading Speed for top and bottom surfaces

By ensuring our fabrics meet these stringent criteria, we guarantee the superior performance and quality of our moisture-wicking textiles.
