Frequently Asked Questions
01
Working with AEM
For established brands and qualified startups wanting to understand how collaboration works.
Who do you typically work with?
We work with established apparel brands, professional sourcing teams, and well-structured startups with a clear product vision, technical groundwork, and commercial strategy in place.
If you're looking for a long-term production partner with the flexibility to scale and the reliability to deliver, we’re built to support your growth.
What’s the process for starting a project with AEM?
We typically begin with an introduction call or email to understand your brand, product types, and project goals. Once aligned, we review your business structure and tailor a proposal. We work on your tech packs, material needs, and delivery timelines to assess feasibility and assign the best-suited production setup. Sampling, fabric confirmation, and cost validation follow — all guided by your collection calendar and commercial requirements.
Do you support startups or brands that are still in development?
We do, selectively.
We support early-stage brands that already have a clear commercial and product foundation, including:
• A defined product strategy and collection plan
• Preliminary tech packs or strong design references
• A committed launch timeline and realistic production budget
• Clarity on target customer, price positioning and sales channels
This allows us to provide accurate costing, realistic lead times and scalable production through selected partners in Turkey, Egypt, India and Albania.
How do you handle confidentiality or private label production?
All projects are handled with strict confidentiality. We work as a behind-the-scenes production partner for many high-profile and DTC brands. NDAs can be signed at request, and private label branding, custom trims, and packaging are fully supported.
02
Manufacturing & Capabilities
For sourcing managers and operations teams evaluating AEM's flexibility and specialization.
What types of products do you manufacture?
We specialize in activewear, lifestyle apparel, corporate wear, promotional items, and event/festival merchandise. Our scope includes leggings, sports bras, t-shirts, hoodies, technical tops, polo shirts, sweatshirts, oversized styles, breeches, and more.
Do you offer full-package manufacturing or CMT only?
We offer managed full-package production rather than CMT-only services. AEM coordinates sourcing, development, production and quality control through selected specialist manufacturing partners.
Can you handle both small capsule collections and large-scale orders?
We manage programs within our published MOQs: typically 500 units per style and color for Turkey cut-and-sew, 1,000 units per seamless style, and 5,000+ units per style for Egypt or India. Larger programs can scale substantially.
Which countries do you produce in, and how is production allocated?
AEM coordinates production through selected specialist partners in Turkey, Egypt, India and Albania. Allocation depends on product type, volume, target cost, lead time, material availability and compliance requirements. Preferential tariff treatment may apply only where the product meets the relevant origin and destination-market rules.
03
Lead Times, MOQs & Volume
For brands planning production cycles and assessing order feasibility.
What are your minimum order quantities (MOQ)?
Turkey cut-and-sew: 500 units per style and color
Seamless: 1,000 units per style, 500 per colorway and 300 per size
Egypt and India: typically 5,000+ units per style
Albania swimwear: 2,000 units per style and 500 per color
Final MOQs depend on fabric availability, product complexity and production allocation.
What are your standard and express lead times?
Typical bulk lead times are 6–8 weeks for Turkey cut-and-sew, around 8–10 weeks for seamless, and 8–12 weeks for Egypt. India and Albania timelines are confirmed by product and program. Accelerated production is subject to capacity, material availability and testing requirements.
Can we split one style across multiple colorways or factories?
Colorway splits are common. Factory splits are possible with planning. For example, part of your order can ship faster from Turkey, with the remainder produced in Egypt or India for cost savings.
What’s the average order size you handle?
Order size varies by product and allocation. Typical minimums start at 500 units per style and color for Turkey cut-and-sew, 1,000 units per seamless style, and 5,000+ units per style for Egypt or India.
How long does it take to receive samples for new developments?
Typically 1–2 weeks, depending on complexity and fabric lead times.
Do you offer prebooking or reserved capacity for high-season production?
Yes. We provide seasonal production reservations via early planning agreements.
